Keeper Magazine
Issue 7 - June 2003

Issue Seven came with a free CD inside that was hand-stapled to each issue–it took forever. Clocking in at 72 pages this was the biggest Keeper yet and featured some of the heavy weight contributors that would keep the magazine running in the coming years, namely Jeff Easton and Kerri Lynn DeHart. Somehow I didn’t credit myself for the Soilwork or Amongst Us interviews… probably an honest mistake and somehow the Lamb of God interview is missing the byline for Leah Collery. Sorry! Issue Seven really captures the wide range of underground heavy music that made up the Metal scene in the early 21st Century–from the metal-core of Darkest Hour to the new American death metal of Lamb of God with a dash of that big Goethenburg-sound of Soilwork along with some classics like the German power metal of Helloween and classic American death of Vital Remains. What a time!
